Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM (Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 OS, Last Nokia Flagship Handset)

Superb value for money device, if you do not like to mess around much with the operating system. The interface is smooth and along with it, the phone gives good battery backup. Initially you might struggle working with this if you are switching over from Android/IOS, but with each passing day you will fall in love with this device.

If you love photography using mobile camera be it normal or low light imaging, then you are the one should buy this handset, because of the hardware it has provided with. It contains 6.7MP rear camera supported with Carl-Zeiss lens & LED flash, which gives stunning picture & HD video quality, and 5MP front camera you couldn’t ask better than this for your selfies, plus on top of it the Lumia Camera apps makes photography even more exciting with its’ live image capturing, you just keep clicking photographs.

Performance wise it is provided with 1.2GHz Quad Core Cortex A7 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) with 1GB RAM to seamlessly control Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1, also it has 8GB internal memory from which approximately 3.5GB available to user. Moreover if you are running short of memory you can always add external MicroSD up to 128GB to accommodate your data.

Display provided with this device is also extraordinary in this market segment of mobile phones, it is 4.7 inch HD Ready OLED type providing 316 ppi resolution. To protect this superb feature it has provided with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

As expected from Nokia, the device is provided with FM radio, which in olden days was a signature feature in Nokia phones. It has not changed a single bit from that era. The clarity of sound and reception is just the same. It is also equipped with WiFi receiver to enable internet surfing while OFF mobile network, you can hook on to WiFi network b/g/n. As usual like all other handsets in the present mobile market Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Gyro and Compass among standard feature provided with this handset.

Handling wise it is 134.7 x 68.5 x 8.7 mm which is quiet a slim construction, allows this device to fits perfectly in your palm and curvy design makes it even easier to hold with one hand. Further more If you wish for more fancier device look, you can choose to switch back cover to different different colours like Green, Orange, Grey and White.

Now the most important factor, to be discussed is the Battery backup. A 2200mAh Lithium-Ion battery is housed in this device to provide stand by time up to 600 hrs, talk time of approx 22 hrs (2G) and 17 hrs (3G) and Music playback time up to 60 hrs. Since I am using this device, can give you more realistic picture about battery run time, with fully charged battery, and normal usage it lasts for more than 24 hrs. (Normal Usage: WhatsApp chat, Calling (Approx. 1 hr talk time), Browsing for approximately 2 hrs in complete day)

In terms of working of Windows Operating System on mobile phone, many people have this misconception that Windows Mobile Operating System kills all tasks once the Windows soft key is pressed, it is not the case. The task runs in the background to keep you available on your social networking portals OR the tasks you frequently use. In order to see those you just have to press and hold the back soft key for couple of seconds for it to be seen on your display. Furthermore with limited resources like such a low power processor and limited 1 GB of RAM in this era of 3 GB RAM mobile phones, it can give a good battery back up for about 24 hrs with all your social networking apps running is really good work done by windows.

Before concluding this review, some of the notable shortfalls seen in this device are no WiFi ac compatibility, no LTE connectivity (considering new technologies in the market)

Price wise this device is perfectly placed to give alarm to some of the front running market player. Its cost ranges from 12k to 13k.

Over all Nokia toward end of its era did very good job launching this device. As per my opinion this device scores 8.5/10 in the ratings, which is kind of job well done by Nokia.
